Q: Why would I need Skin Polishing & Brightening?
A: Environmental pollution harms all skin types, therefore everyone can benefit from this treatment. Kaya’s Skin Polishing & Brightening treatments reverse the effects of dulling and pigmentation. This treatment can also form part of your regular skin care and enhancement regime. We recommend it for those above 18 years of age.
Q: How is Skin Polishing & Brightening different from regular facials?
A: The procedure is more beneficial than most facials as it addresses a wide range of skin problems and tones the skin safely and effectively. The removal of dead cells is uniform and the method is non-invasive. It can be used in conjunction with chemical peels when profound results are needed.
Q: How long does the treatment take?
A: One treatment usually lasts for about 45 minutes, so you could even have it done during your lunch break. At least four sessions are recommended to achieve visible results. To maintain the effects, one session per month is recommended.
Q: Is it safe?
A: Yes, Kaya’s Skin Polishing & Brightening is a completely safe procedure and is recommended for all skin types. At Kaya Skin Clinic, as an added precaution, a crystal sensitivity check is done to rule out very rare cases of irritation. Very sensitive skin may redden due to the exfoliation action, but this subsides within hours. A cold compress is recommended in such a rare case.
Q: Is any post treatment care necessary?
A: Kaya’s Skin Polishing & Brightening does not require any post treatment care. You can resume normal activities immediately. However in some cases of sensitive skin, direct exposure to sunlight should be avoided and a sunscreen with a minimum SPF of 15 should be used. Due to the exfoliation action the immediate effect can be reddening of the skin, which subsides within hours. In extra sensitive skin, the effect may last up to a day. Therefore, it is not advisable to have Skin Polishing & Brightening done on the day you have an event or special occasion to attend. Ideally you should schedule it for two to three days beforehand.
